The Enphase IQ Gateway Metered with Communication Kit 2 is a complete package for new battery installations.
The Enphase IQ Gateway Metered is an integrated component of the Enphase Energy System that acts as a communication bridge between the Enphase IQ Microinverts located on the roof and the Enphase App for remote control and monitoring.
The IQ Gateway Metered communicates with the IQ Microinverters via standard AC power lines and the Enphase App via cellular or wireless internet. The IQ Gateway enables homeowners to control grid management functions, monitor solar production and monitor home energy consumption.

Note that the package includes two 100 A current transformers but in case of 3-phase installation, a total of 6 pcs (two for each phase) are required for production and consumption monitoring.
Communication Kit 2 enables an IQ Gateway Metered to communicate with an IQ Battery 5P via wired control communication. It integrates with Enphase Energy Systems 3rd generation and is required for the IQ Battery 5P to operate in grid connected mode.
