Instructions:
The module is mounted in the customer interface of the electricity meter (the small hatch on the front of the electricity meter) and extracts high-resolution metering data from the electricity meter. It has an Rj45 or Rj12 connector for connecting equipment for load control of electric vehicle chargers, monitoring electricity consumption, etc. Communication can only occur from the electricity meter, and the electricity meter cannot be affected or damaged by equipment connected to the module.
RJ12 module does not pass through power, so for products connected to this port, external power supply is required. Compatible meters for the Kamstrup RJ12 module:
- Wallbox power boost RJ12
- Enegic monitor one
- Tibber Pulse P1 (RJ12)
RJ45 module passes through power, but it provides a small amount of power. Compatible meters for the Kamstrup RJ12 module:
- Easee equalizer RJ45
- Tibber Pulse HAN (RJ45). Note that this may work with power from Kamstrup omnipower, but it is not guaranteed, so for Tibber Pulse HAN, it is recommended to receive power externally.
NOTE To enable communication from the electricity meter, you need to contact customer service at your electricity network company and request activation and decryption of your customer interface (communication from the electricity meter is normally turned off and encrypted by your electricity network company in compliance with GDPR).
